Ketamine Harms, Risk and Practical Responses

One-day course | 9:30am–4:00pm

Recognising harm earlier. Understanding risk. Responding with confidence.

About the Course

Ketamine-related harm does not always follow conventional patterns of substance use or dependence. Physical, psychological, cognitive and everyday functioning difficulties may emerge separately or interact over time.

This practical course explores ketamine's effects, patterns of use and distinctive harms, including how difficulties develop and when specialist intervention may be required.

Drawing on the KASPR framework, participants explore sentinel symptoms, changing risk, evidence-informed harm reduction and proportionate responses to emerging problems.

The emphasis is on recognising harm, understanding its progression and developing practical responses.
